Cozy days ...

Hello dear friends!

Well it is very wet and windy in my corner of North West England. I think the hurricane Frank has landed. I am praying for all the poor people in Cumbria and many parts of Lancashire right now and hoping that the rain let's up.

My mum lives at the back of a field which is a flood plane and it has been very hairy for her with the water coming right up to her back door. Some folk have been less fortunate òn her street. They are arranging a meeting with the farmer to see what can be done. We have had to cancel get together's as some of the villages have been inpassible. My mum and dad managed to visit my sister's yesterday and had a special tea made for them as the motorways have opened. My mum is just grateful to get away from fretting so much.

Unbelievably the weather was nicish yesyerday morning and we quickly took advantage and got out for a walk to our local park Worden. There were lots of other people with the very same idea too. My youngest let rip on her Frozen Elsa Scooter and was zipping around. We stuck to the pathways as it was very muddy and boggy on the grass and we did not have our wellybobs on. The skys looked glorious too but I am afraid it is very much the calm before the storm so to speak.

I love that beautiful old tree with all it's knotted bark. I wonder what that tree has seen over the years. I am proud of my local park and so pleased it is well used and maintained well.

Today is a very stay indoors day but I did manage a run out this morning before the heavans opened. Husband and my eldest are tidying and decluttering whilst I am trying to find the motivation to do so. Husband is re-arranging the girls bedroom as we want to get a proper bed for youngest in the new year so once he is done I will get into action.

I have reached the gusset on my sock now having turned the magic heel. How exciting. Here is my progress peeps ...

Goodbye lovelies and carry on crafting xxxxxxxx Leah

Happy Holidays!!

Hello lovelies,

I hope you are all having a smashing time where ever you are!

Just a quick pop in to share with you what I am making and show you the swap I was involved in organised by sewchet.com.  So without further ado ....

This is my progress so far on my new socks. I have just got to the heel part.

These are what I gave to my recipient Jo at www.jo-throughthekeyhole.blogspot.co.uk

I made the cross stitch christmas card. My second attempt at a cross stitch project so quite chuffed with the outcome xxx

And these are the goodies I received from Tracey at Mad about bags blogspot.

I am one very lucky lady and truly blessed, thank you Tracey xxxx

And the holidays for me are a bit of a hectic whirling dervish chaos but I am loving it.

Love to you all xxxxx Leah
